With her big night just weeks away Gracie Simmons, 15, from Buckinghamshire was the only one of her friends who did not have a dress yet.So she decided to put a new Prom Style School to the test - a bespoke service that helps teens get ready for the big occasion - to see if it could help her find the perfect outfit. Gracie Simmons, 15, from Buckinghamshire tried out the new Prom Style School service to help her find the perfect dress for her big night Gracie with Lucas and Megan from Prom Style School a new service that creates a bespoke look for the big occasion, including hair and beauty treatments Prom Style School has just been launched by Lucas Armitage and Megan Boyes who have years of experience as fashion stylists for magazines and TV shows such as The X Factor. The pair have worked with celebrities such as Cheryl, Leona Lewis, Sophie Turner and Kate Upton, and promise to bring A-list stylist expertise to youngsters' prom look preparation.Their services cost from £100 and they can help curate a look to suit any price range and co-ordinate all the necessary prom preparations from hair to spray tans.
To help Gracie prepare for her prom, they created a blow-the-budget look with high end beauty treatments, a mid range option and a budget outfit - but which ensemble would she prefer?Gracie had a spray tan at the Away Spa W Hotel, London where James Harknette creates a bespoke tan for each individual and occasion. 'For Gracie I wanted a warm glow, not too strong for her as she's quite fair. Once I saw her dress I knew the perfect colour for her,' James explained. She then had her hair done at the Errol Douglas salon in Knightsbridge with stylist Mustafa Alan, where a 90 minute hair appointment costs £250. Gracie wearing the Vitoria embellished draped bandage dress by Herve Leger, costing £3,158 The Lance silver mirror leather sandals by Jimmy Choo modelled by Gracie cost £550 but Gracie found them tricky to walk in Her hair was styled into a high ponytail of loose, cascading curls and Mustafa advised:  'Keep the style looking fresh with natural movement and beautiful texture throughout.
She was then taken care of with the Pamper Me Prom Package by Amara and her team from Pamper Me in Leeds, who offer a mobile service.  'We gave Gracie an Intraceuticals facial - an A-list facial that gives you instant results by plumping, lifting and sculpting of the face,' Amara explained. Gracie had her nails done as part of the Pamper Me Prom Package by Amara and her team from Pamper Me in Leeds, who offer a mobile service The Pamper Me team threaded Gracie's eyebrows before applying her make-up A glittery smokey eye was created for Gracie by the Pamper Me team'It uses hyaluronic acid and natural ingredients under pressurised oxygen delivered straight into the lower levels of the skin. The treatment is loved by Kim Kardashian, Miley Cyrus and many more. 'Gracie already had good brows so we have them a tidy using threading.'We also pampered her with bio sculpture gel tips using a colour that was perfect for the dress and created a bespoke make-up look for a dramatic, high fashion prom night.'Lucas and Megan styled Gracie in a tasseled bandage dress by Herve Leger, costing more than £3,000 and £550 silver mirror Lance sandals from Jimmy Choo.
Gracie said she loved the designer gown but felt it wasn't traditional prom style If  money was no object, Gracie would definitely splash out on the dress, which costs more than £3,000, even though it's not a traditional prom dress He added £1700 earrings by Clogau to complete the look, as well as some decor from Bubblegum Balloons to get her in the party spirit.   'The facial was amazing,' Gracie said 'I felt my skin was tighter and firmer afterwards.  Hair at Errol Douglas: £250Spray tan at W London: £45Prom Pamper Package: £300Clogau earrings: £1700Herve Leger dress: £3,158Jimmy Choo shoes: £550  And they did my nails too. Having my spray tan done was my favourite bit, the guy was really nice.'I didn't feel uncomfortable at all. I've not had one before and before my prom I might go back to him. I don't think I would have had one otherwise. 'I thought the dress was really nice but it was a bit tight and the shoes were the least comfortable even though they were expensive.
I'd hate to be walking in the Jimmy Choos. 'Even though the dress was amazing, I don't think it was typically prom. 'Although if I had the money I probably would buy it. I know some of my friends have been spending a few hundred on their dresses but nothing near that amount.' The teenager said that her Jimmy Choos were hard to walk in and that shoes from New Look were more comfortable Gracie had her preening done by Prettly, an at-home hair styling, nails and make up service.'Prettly is perfect for prom as our therapists come directly to your house, so there's no worry about running around on prom day when you have a million other things to do,' said CEO Rhea Papanicolaou. 'You also eliminate the risk of ruining your hair, make-up and nails when going home to get ready.' Lucas and Megan picked a pink dip hem prom dress for Gracie, costing £95 from Forever New at Lispy A floral embellished clutch, £24.99, from New Look and silver sandals, £30, from Boohoo Gracie had her preening done by Prettly, an at home hair styling, nails and make up service
And Gracie was impressed by the results of her hair and particularly make-up, as the Prettly team created a more natural lookThe team used Kiss Products nails, costing £7.95 and styled Gracie's brunette hair in simple, loose waves.Gracie was impressed by the results and particularly by her make-up, as the Prettly team created a more natural look. I wanted to look more like me,' she said. She also added to her glow by applying self-tanning products, St. Moriz instant mousse, £4, and Madame La La self tan £29.99Lucas and Megan picked a pink dip hem prom dress for Gracie, costing £95 from Forever New at Lispy. They teamed it with £30 shoes from Boohoo and accessorised with a New Look clutch bag and earrings from Forever 21.
'I loved all of the dresses but this was my favourite one,' Gracie revealed.'But I don't think I would actually wear it to my prom because it's not typical style. 'Most people will be wearing long dresses. I think it would be better for a wedding.' The Lipsy dress was Gracie's favourite but even though it's an actual prom dress she didn't feel the length was quite right for the big night Gracie loved the look and said she would definitely wear it if she was going to a wedding For a budget option, Gracie did her own hair using a Nicky Clarke desiRED straightener. She applied her make-up herself, opting for a more natural look. 'I think I would get my nails done a few days before the prom and get acrylics, but my make-up I probably would do myself anyway, so I can do it how I like it,' she said. This pink hatler neck maxi dress cost just £25 from Boohoo Gracie plans to apply her own make-up on prom night so she can get it exactly how she likes it To create a look on a budget, Gracie styled her own hair using straighteners Lucas and Megan chose a £25 pink maxi dress from Boohoo for Gracie, shoes from New Look for £34.99, as well as earrings and a bracelet from the same retailer.'I really liked the long pink one and I will be wearing it for my prom,' Gracie said.
Boohoo dress: £25New Look shoes: £34.99New Look earrings: £6.99New Look bracelet: £3.99 'I think it seems better because most people will be wearing maxi dresses and the Lipsy one was quite short.'The shoes were also really comfortable, more than the Jimmy Choos.'Taking money out of the equation I do think this was the best look overall.  'Even though the really expensive look was amazing, I felt I looked a bit overdressed. But if I had the money I would definitely do all the pampering - it was such a great experience.'Gracie is looking forward to showing off her dress on the Facebook group where her classmates upload pictures of their prom outfits. A pair of £6.99 earrings from new Look completed Gracie's budget look The teenager chose the £25 maxi dress for her prom, concluding it was the most perfect look for the occasion 'It's not competitive - more that people are intrigued to see what each other is wearing,' she explained. 'Everyone likes each other's dresses and says they're really nice.
